The MKR FOX 1200 is a powerful yet compact board that combines all the functionality of the Zero with SigFox connectivity. If you have minimal experience in networking, this board is the ideal choice for developing IoT projects with SigFox connectivity.
The board is based on the Atmel SAMD21 MCU and an ATA8520 SigFox module. The board is powered by either two 1.5V AA or AAA batteries or via external 5V supply. The board also has the capability to automatically switch between supplies as appropriate.
The feature set of this amazing board includes a rich set of I/O interfaces and low power SigFox communication, all in the compact MKR form factor. The Arduino IDE software makes it easy to get up and running.
The board comes with free access to the Spot’it geolocation service that allows you to track the board without GPS or any extra hardware. A 1-year free subscription to the SigFox network (for up to 140 messages per day) is included, and you can check your SigFox network area coverage on the SigFox website.
External 5V supply via USB port
Runs with or without the batteries connected
Limited power consumption
Supports certificate SHA-256
32 bit ARM technology
3.3V Operating voltage
Micro USB connector
Caution: The MKR Fox 1200 runs at 3.3V. The maximum voltage that the I/O pins can tolerate is 3.3V. Applying voltages higher than 3.3V to any I/O pin could damage the board.
