SpeaKa Professional 50152 Toslink Plug (ODT) to Toslink Plug (ODT) 0.5m Cable HE

A fibre-optic cable for connecting two devices with optical inputs/outputs in ODT (Toslink) standard for digital audio transmission.

Digital optic fibre connections have the advantage that they can not be distorted by electromagnetic influences. Thus it is possible to implement low cable diameters even with longer cables. The optical audio cable also decouples the audio transmitter/receiver and the audio receiver/amplifier and prevents the occurrance of "hum".

Not only the 2 audio channels can be transferred via a digital audio cable, but even all the necessary audio channels for a home theatre can be transferred. The audio channels are then split and amplified in the amplifier and then passed on to the connected speakers. Avoid sharp bends in the cable; otherwise the fibre optic cable may break.
