This DFRobot Analogue Sound Sensor is compatible with Arduino. A Sound Sensor is typically used to detect the loudness of a sound in its surrounding area.

The Arduino can be programmed to collect the sensor's output signal and react accordingly. If you add a buzzer, etc., you could use the sound sensor make an interactive project such as a 'clap and buzz' to find lost keys or the TV remote control. The sensor works best with DFRobot's Audio Analyzer module.

DFRobot's IO expansion shield is the best match for connecting the sensor to your Arduino. As the sound sensor can work at 3.3V it is also compatible with Raspberry Pi, Intel Edison, Joule and Curie.
