Q. Would you be able to run two of these in parallel or series circuit with 2 x 1.5v AA batteries? They only need to be bright enough for the eyes of a metal bug project.
A. Hi Harry, thank you for your question. The minimum voltage these work as is 3V so two 1.5V batteries in series will give 3V and then wire this to the two LEDs in parallel but this is the bare minimum they will operate at.

Q. Hi I would like to use this LED in an electronics project and I was wondering wether there are any resistors you would recommend, thanks! I will be using a 3.7 volt battery in the circuit.
A. Hi Charles, thank you for your question. 55-2484 is a white LED 3.6V with a maximum of 4.2V so at 3.7V no resistor will be required.

Q. what button cell would I need to run these?
A. Hi Ian. Thank you for your question. Either 2 x any of the button cells or just 1 x coin cell will work with this LED.

Q. What size resister is needed is series for 5v supply.
A. Hi Keith,
Thanks for your question. This Led will use a 3.6V supply for ideal results – so 1.4V needs to “lost” across the resistor. Using 40mA as the current (80% of max) gives an ideal value of 35 Ohm, and a 0.125W power rating is more than adequate.
The next highest resistor value is u39 Ohm in the 0.25W range. See our part: https://www.rapidonline.com/truohm-cr-025-39r-carbon-film-resistor-0-25w-pack-of-100-62-0336

Q. Greetings,
What is the actual Color Temp (6500K, 12000K, etc.) of these LEDs?
Thanks
A. Hi Eric, thanks for your question.
The color temp is 10000K.
