Q. Is Gripfill suitable for securing a timber domestic door frame to a 100 x 100square hollow section steel post - if it is suitable this would eliminate the problem of making a phisical fixing to the steel.
The door in question will be of medium weight and will be swung from the steel post side. The oposite side of the door frame will be secured to studwork in the normal manner.
A. Thanks for your enquiry Robert. Bostik do not recommend that this be used as the sole means of support, it can reduce the number of physical fixing links required by say 50%, but not eliminate them completely.
