This Fireguard LED7 LED downlight with chrome bezel is a 7W unit that provides the equivalent luminosity of a 50W halogen lamp, the output exceeding 60 lumens per circuit Watt, in keeping with the current England and Wales building regulations. The lamp is a fully tested fire-rated unit and is building regulations compliant. The low energy consumption and high output design, coupled with an operational life of 75,000 hours means that the lamp is extremely economical to operate and maintain. The fire-resistant, all-metal enclosed can ensures that flammable dust and debris doesn't build up throughout the life of the fitting, fulfilling a requirement of the Electrical Safety Council as stipulated in their Downlighters & Fire Safety report.

The lamp unit has been designed to retrofit into existing downlight installations with the wide bezel helping to cover imperfections and previous cut-outs. The housing has high strength steel adjustable clips that accommodate different ceiling thicknesses and it is simple and easy to install the unit due to its loop in/loop out connections and push-in terminal blocks.

Further features such as their durable metal construction and IP65 rating make these downlights suitable for a wide range of uses where a fire-rated installation is required, e.g. as showerlights or kitchen lights in hotels, restaurants, retail outlets and for domestic use.
