<P>LOCTITE 243 is a <STRONG>medium strength </STRONG>general-purpose<STRONG> thread locker </STRONG>which secures and seal bolts, nuts and studs to prevent them from loosening due to vibration. <STRONG>LOCTITE 243 </STRONG>works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminium and plated surfaces. It is proven to be tolerant of minor contamination like industrial oils, engine oils, corrosion-prevention oils and cutting fluids.</P>
  • Cures in the absence of air to provide a tough retaining medium for threaded parts
  • Tolerates slight contaminations of industrial oils, e.g. engine oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluid
  • Prevents loosening of vibrating parts, e.g. pumps, gearboxes and presses
  • Permits disassembly for servicing using normal hand tools
  • Maximum thread size M36
  • Breakaway torque on M10 bolt 26 Nm
  • Fixture time for steel 10 minutes
  • Fixture time for brass 5 minutes
  • Fixture time for stainless steel 10 minutes
