Our partners at Horizon Educational are sponsoring an exciting event hosted by the H2GP Foundation and presented by Toyota Mirai. It's the Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP) World Final in collaboration with RE+ at the annual RE+ Energy Conference from September 8th to 12th, 2024, in Anaheim, California.
This prestigious event will bring together the top 40 student-led teams from around the globe, who have excelled in the Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP) program, made possible by global sponsors. The program has enabled 4,000 students to participate, driving K-12 STEM and renewable energy education while sparking a passion for engineering.
Throughout the competition, students apply their unique skills to design, engineer, and build hydrogen-powered RC cars using the H2GP Starter Kit, competing against teams from across the world. The competition offers excitement and fun and hones critical STEM abilities, time management, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.
The top 40 teams from this global challenge will advance to the World Final, where most will race custom-built vehicles at the RE+ energy trade show in California in September 2024.
By participating in this program, students achieve the goals set by Horizon Educational, as they become well-prepared over two to four years to pursue various careers in renewable energy.
