The
Olimex STM32-P405 development board supports the 32-bit STM32F405RGT6 ARM Cortex M4 MCU with 1024KB flash 192KB of RAM and operates at 168MHz. This is an advanced MCU with an integrated floating point unit (FPU) and a memory management unit (MMU). The MCU offers three 12-bit ADCs, two DACs, a low-power RTC, twelve general-purpose 16-bit timers including two PWM timers for motor control, two general-purpose 32-bit timers and a true random number generator (RNG). The general purpose timers can also be used for PWM and the ADC channels can be used with up to 16 external inputs. It also has an impressive list of communication interfaces including 3 x I2C interfaces, 4 x USARTs/2 x UARTs, 3 x SPIs, 2 x I2S, 2 x CAN and an SDIO interface. The list of possible applications is extensive, but this board is suitable for applications such as motor drives, medical and handheld equipment, PC and gaming peripherals, GPS platforms, industrial applications, PLCs, inverters, printers, scanners and video intercoms. Many of the MCU's IO signals are available adjacent to the on-board prototyping area which is useful for application circuitry, add a battery via the connector to quickly create a custom hand held device
