The Rohde & Schwarz HM8001-2 is a Basic Unit Modular System which provides a source of regulated power and On/Off control for the modules and acts as a stackable rack/enclosure station for groups of two modules.
The HM8001-2 is the mains-operated mainframe for the R&S Modular System Series 8000. Any two modules may be operated simultaneously in one such basic unit. The total power available for both modules is 36W. The standard power supply requirement of one module is below 12W. The mainframe has thermal protection and electronic overload protection.
A Rohde & Schwarz Test Adapter (HZ809) is available for the testing and repair of insert modules for Modular System Series 8000 outside the mainframe HM8001-2 (order code 64-5501).
