Having found 2of CD4059 4 Stage Decade Dividers in my spares cabinet, I decided to construct 2of the circuits into the same box.
This will the provide the Reference(R) and Feedback(N) Dividers for my experimentation with Phase Locked Loops(PLL).
What I needed to set the division ratios was a 4 stage BCD Input device(2 to 9999).
DIP switches was my first thought, the problem would be how to mount for easy access?
However, the 78-0805 Ultraminiature BCD Switch answered all the right notes.
Compact, ease of mounting, ease of use(with direct visual indication) and compeditive pricing tipped the scales.
I ordered 4of to confirm the circuit(all O.K.!), with 4 more ordered soon.
