A low temperature glue gun operating at approximately 100°C to 120°C rather than the normal temperature of around 190°C to 200°C, or higher.
Ideal for educational applications where the lower temperature reduces the risk of serious burns, or industrial applications where delicate components could be damaged by the use of standard high temperature glues
Trigger-feed mechanism for ease of use and accurate control of glue feed rate
Power rating 5W
Supplied complete with fitted 13A plug fused at 3A
Ideal for caulking, filling and for decorative/art purposes
Please note that the glue sticks for this gun are specially formulated for low temperature use, and are not suitable for use with higher temperature guns.
Q. What is the temperature difference between "low melt" & ordinary hot melt glue?
A. Hi Howard. Thank you for your question. The temperature difference varies between manufacturers: one gives low melt sticks as 80 deg C and standard at 86 deg C as the softening point. For the glue to flow effectively it will need to get hotter. A specification of one low temperature glue gun gives its range as 100 deg C to 120 deg C – whereas a hot melt guns give a temp of 200 deg C: this provides a better indication of temperature difference.

I bought this glue gun to use in my studio with children. It is the perfect size and doesn't get too hot to burn fingers! This is my 5th glue gun purchase from Rapid. Constantly good service, and always brilliant at next day delivery!
