Q. Can you tell me the OD of the wire in this product, also the AWG size or number of strands in each wire.
Thank you
Tom
A. Hi Tom. Thanks for your question. The OD is 2.1 mm with a 26 strand of 0.1 wire approx 50SWG per strand.

These test leads do the job. The sleeves over the crocodile clips slip easily making it difficult to get a grip.
Good value; mixed quality

A good value set of crocodile leads of decent quality for most purposes. I find these leads essential for convenience in making quick, temporary, low dependency connections in physically large circuits.
The clips themselves are quite small and can easily be connected to small wires and connections, although the jaws don't line up precisely and would not be able to grip >30 SWG wires reliably.
The connection between the wire and the clip is achieved simply by bending the conductor back over the insulation and crimping all in place, more than acceptable for light use but the connections' reliability will deteriorate through the product's service life and may be susceptible to failure resulting from corrosion of the wire at the termination.
The wires are mostly stranded copper and are very flexible, however the black leads use a different solid core wire. Electrically this is not an issue, but these leads will be more awkward to position in space as they retain their shape.
Regardless they are good value and I would highly recommend having a set on hand.
