Q. What voltage is required to light the LED in these switches please?
A. Hi JW, thanks for your question. The switch is main rated and needs mains voltage to light. The light does not have independent connections.

Wanting to use the DPST switch at low voltage was concerned that the illuminator would drain the low 6v 2000ma power battery supply But a few minutes work with two small screwdrivers and a dab of blue tack had the illuminator bulb and diode removed thus no possible power drain Hay presto A DPST Non illuminated switch
