These red 2mm stackable plugs have a 60V and 10A maximum current rating. The integral 2mm socket allows plugs to be stacked one into another. The sprung contact ensures good electrical connection with the socket.

Inexpensive plugs to make up your own test leads
Reviewed by: Mr John Flynn - Saturday, September 26, 2015
I've used these stackable miniature jack plugs to make up my own test leads and jumpers for a 37 pin D connector break-out box that I also made using the matching 2mm sockets 17-2891 and ABS box 30-3362. They are just the right size to use with Rapid extra flexible wire 01-0600, although soldering the wire to the connector barrel can be a bit tricky. There is a small recess about half-way down in the side of the brass barrel in which to insert the end of the wire for soldering, but it is quite shallow and of quite small diameter, and with multistrand wire it may be better to splay the strands around the barrel and solder to the outside of the barrel instead of (or as well as) into the recess. This may look a bit messy but once soldered up, the barrel is then inserted into the plastic body from the top and none of the soldering is then visible. The top clip then hinges over and clips into place securing the cable where it emerges from the top of the connector, and exposing a 2mm orifice to allow stacking with other plugs. Specified to take up to 60V/10A they are perfect for low voltage/signal applications and good value especially if you have to order at least 25.
