Q. Hi do I still need to use a resistor with these if I use 4.5V or 5V?
A. Hi Andy, thank you for your question. This LED is designed to work with a typical voltage of 4.5V (3 x AA batteries) 5V is it's absolute maximum. As these have an integral I.C the use of a current limiting resistor is not advised as this method requires a constant current to be drawn and with these LEDs the current varies from colour to colour.

Q. What is the time in seconds for the LED to cycle through all 3 colours? The catalogue says it cycles at 1.5Hz, but the 3mm and 10mm LEDs have cycle times of >30s. 1.5Hz seems a bit quick!
A. The cycle time for all 3 colours is 30-40 seconds MAX.
