Saved me so much time and money spent adjusting IC pins with pliers or buying a new IC! Wish I'd got one sooner!

A vital tool for anyone who does a lot of breadboarding or just needs to get a DIL IC into a socket without mangling it. At the price it's well worth buying two of these because if you only have one, you can bet it will be buried under something else on your workbench when you need it (if your workbench is as untidy as mine that is).

Miss-aligned pins no longer - this little device helps straighten those wonky legs !
Especially usefully for those IC designed for automated pick and place where the pins a slightly widen out, this device will neatly bring them in so that they fit easily into IC Sockets.

OK I am a serial PIC freak. If its got a PIC I want to build it. Being a radio amateur too, I often have the odd IC or two hundred laying around....all with a subtle flaw.....the legs are sticking out. In the past I carefully used the work surface to force the legs in a bit to fit my drill holes...and it gets worse if your using a DIL socket. You snap the legs off a £10 IC and you know about it. This tool is a must for anyone who has Arduino, PIC or other IC's that need that little tweak to make them fit. When IC's leave the factory I am sure they spread the legs to fit pick and place machines tight, this is bad for the end user. Pop the IC into the straightener, press the sides together & out pops a perfect aligned IC. Fits all standard IC sockets, no tweaking needed.....and at a price that won't leave you wondering why you killed an IC with static wile mishandling it, trying to get the legs straight. Broken legs.....a thing of the past.

The price of this belies what a practical and useful little tool it is. No more rocking the IC in the socket to try and straighten the pins. A must have tool for any one working with ICs. Ive have one on each workbench.
