<p>These sensors can be mounted onto Univer pneumatic cylinders to detect the position of the piston. They work by detecting the magnetic field produced by the magnet incorporated in the piston. The sensor can then be used to switch an electrical circuit, e.g. a safety interlock or warning signal or to energise the next component in a sequence. Models are available using two different technologies: electromechanical with a Reed Switch and electronic with a PNP transistor output. The Reed Switch can be employed in both in DC and AC circuits, the electronic type functions only in DC circuits up to 30V max. Both versions have LED indicators to show their switching status.</p>
