Maxim MAX749CSA+ Linear IC SO8 LCD Bias Supply

This device is a negative-output inverting power controller that generates an LCD-bias contrast voltage from its +2V to +6V inputs in order to drive either a PNP transistor or a P-channel MOSFET. Full-scale output voltage can be scaled, using an external resistor and the internal DAC to over –100V and the output is digitally adjustable in 64 steps by the internal DAC as well as a PWM signal or a potentiometer.

Suitable for a wide range of applications, including: communication systems, hand-held computing devices, portble data-collection terminals, etc.
