Prowave PW0268 Ultrasonic sonar ranging IC

This ultrasonic sonar ranging IC is designed for echo ranging systems. Design features that enhance the performance and useage of this device include: an externally tunable RC oscillator that can automatically track and compensate for shifts in transducer resonant frequency due to temperature fluctuations, a fixed gain preamplifier that can compensate for varying transducer sensitivities, a 32-step time controlled variable gain amplifier that can have its slope modified simply by adjusting the frequency of the system clock. The returning analog echo signal from the target is converted to a TTL level signal for use with an external microprocessor.
