in 2021 and 2022. It provides the ideal high-performance microcontroller board with flexible interfaces, for both enthusiasts and professional developers alike.
At the heart of Pico 2 is the brand-new RP235x
microcontroller platform (designed by Raspberry Pi) featuring dual-core, dual architecture capability that allows the choice between either dual Arm Cortex-M33 or dual Hazard3 RISC-V processors at up to 150MHz. It also comes with 520KB SRAM, 26GPIO pins, and a broad range of interfacing options. Raspberry Pi Pico 2 RP2350 is paired with 4MB of on-board QSPI Flash memory (versus 2MB on Raspberry Pi Pico) for code and data storage.
Raspberry Pi Pico 2 features a comprehensive security model, based on Arm TrustZone for Cortex-M and has significantly improved power efficiency.
All the improvements in performance and features are delivered on the same form factor and have been designed to be software compatible with the original Pico series boards, allowing for easy upgrade of your projects.

Note: While Raspberry Pi Pico 2 does not come with anything soldered to its pads, it is recommended that users fit 0.1" male pin strip, pointing "downwards" to the GPIO pads, and 0.1" male pin strip, pointing "upwards", to the SWD pads. Where possible, please design any accessories with this convention in mind.
