The Sauter TF1250-0.1FN Coating Thickness Meter is a premium thickness measuring device for paint coatings, lacquer coatings, etc. It has a sensor built into the meter housing.
In F-mode the meter measures the coating thickness of non-magnetic materials, e.g. paint, plastic, porcelain enamel, copper, zinc, aluminium, chrome, lacquer layers, etc., that are located on magnetic metals, e.g. steel, iron, nickel, etc. Applications include measuring the thickness of galvanizing layers, lacquer layers, porcelain enamel layers, phosphate layers, copper tiles, aluminium tiles, some alloy tiles, paper, etc.
In N-mode, the meter measures the coating thickness of non-magnetic coatings located on non-magnetic metals, e.g. aluminium, brass, non-magnetic stainless steel, etc. Applications include measuring the thickness of anodising, varnish, paint, enamel, plastic coatings, powder coating, etc.
