Q. Hi. I need a bench mounted band saw to make variously shaped items from teen and aluminium plate, typically motorcycle engine mounting plates etc. Max material thickness approx 6mm-7mm. Will the SM1303 machine be suitable and which blade will be required?

A. Hi Rob, thanks for your question. This machine would be able to cut a maximum 80 mm dependent on the type of cut. Typically either a 10 TPI 89-4976 or 14 TPI 89-4977 blade would be ideal.

This is an exeptional price for a matchine that is far better made and with more features than price similar models from other outlets at this time of year. Impressed would have bought one if I hadent spent so much trying to get one of its competitors close to being the same speck.
