The Adafruit ADA4484 Mini PiTFT is the perfect choice if you're looking for a small, colour display for a Raspberry Pi projects.
The Mini PiTFT is ready to snap onto any and all Raspberry Pi computers, to provide you with a small, yet high-quality display. This TFT add-on comes with a full colour 240x240 pixel IPS display with great visibility at all angles. It uses only the SPI port, so it's very fast and leaves plenty of pins remaining available for buttons, LEDs, sensors, and more. Its size and precise mounting allows for an easy fit into any Pi case.
Although this display is super small, measuring only about 1.3" diagonal, it is an IPS display, making it very readable with high contrast and visibility. On the top, the add-on gives you two tactile buttons on GPIO pins so you can create a simple user interface. On the bottom of the board, you can find a Qwiic/STEMMA QT connector for I2C sensors and devices, allowing you to plug and play any STEMMA QT devices.
Using the display is very easy, Adafruit has a kernel driver and Python library for the ST7789 chipset. You can set it up as a console output so you can have text and user interface through the Raspberry Pi OS or you can draw images, create text, and much more, using the Python imaging library. Product testing showed approximately 15 FPS update rates so you can play animations or simple videos.
Comes completely pre-assembled and tested, so you don't need to do anything but plug it into any Raspberry Pi computer, and install the readily available Python code!
