The Fluke Networks MT-8200-61-TNR contains the IntelliTone Pro 200 LAN Toner. It is used to locate cables even on active networks, detect Ethernet service and verify twisted-pair cable continuity and WireMap. The tone generator's distinctive tones indicate faults in UTP/STP, coax cabling, security and control wiring. The IntelliTone Pro 200 toner features digital toning technology which eliminates noise and false signals.
Additionally, the SmartTone analogue toning traces network cables (voice, audio, and video) and changes tone to isolate individual wire pairs when they are shorted.
