The Infrared Transmitter from Seeed Studio operates at 38kHz to send infrared signals from up to 10m away depending on the receiver. A downloadable IR library handles all the details of sending data from a string of bytes to the transmitter. Use it as a remote control or as part of a two way communication channel with a suitable IR receiver such as the Grove IR emitter.
