24 April 2016 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-0780
Q. A circuit diagram please to use one of these LED's from 5 volt supply
A. Hi Ken, thank you for your question. As long as the 5V is fixed and regulated proceed as follows: the longer leg of the LED goes to the positive and the shorter leg goes to the negative. The LED will then light up.

17 January 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-0780
Q. If I'm using a 9V battery to power 4 of these LEDs, what resistor will I need?
A. Hi Das. Thank you for your question. This will depend how you intend to connect them. They have a Vf of 4.5V so you can connect 2 in series to use on a 9V supply with no resistor – this is the maximum you can have in series. If you have 2 strings in parallel – each of 2 leds in series then no resistor is required at all. If you intend to have all 4 in parallel – each LED ill require a resistor of between 225 and 300 Ohms - any resistor above 0.1W will be suitable. 62-0356 is 270 Ohm 0.25W and will work well.

08 November 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-0780
Q. If I'm using a 9 volt battery to power this LED, what type of resistor will I need? Thanks
A. Hi Tim, thanks for your question. A 225 ohm resistor will be needed for use on this colour cycling clear LED.

Reviews

Great colour quality and light spread

Reviewed by: Mr darren adcock - 07 December 2015
As the title of this review reads, these led's are exactly what i needed in terms of good quality colour and light spread. I work with back lit lighting and often need led options that are bright, clear and have a large viewing angle. In close proximity spaces they will need a reflector. if you want a flat spread.
