These Nitrile Powder-Free Examination gloves are an ideal alternative to latex gloves and are recommended for anyone with a Type 1 allergy. They contain no natural latex proteins yet have the same wall thickness as a latex glove due its greater perforation resistance.
Their distinctive blue colour means that they are easily distinguishable from other types of gloves and they are commonly used in hospitals, the nursing sector, medical practitioners in surgeries and the dental sector.
Nitrile Powder-Free gloves have a high resistance to a range of chemicals, and currently Nitrile gloves are believed to be less harmful than Natural Latex Rubber gloves meaning that they are becoming a more popular alternative when protection is required against blood and body fluids during clinical procedures.

Rapid sold another brand of Nitrile gloves for years that have recently been discontinued. Unfortunately, these gloves don't compare in quality. I wouldn't even describe them as blue. The ones I have are lilac in colour, quite thin and tear very easily. I used to use the old ones for soldering, daily, for a couple of weeks. I'm lucky if these last a couple of days.
They are also slightly longer in the fingers so despite being small size, they are a bit big and make delicate work more difficult.
