The
PICkit 2 programmer from
Microchip is intended for use as a low-cost development programmer capable of programming most
Microchip flash microcontrollers. the programmer takes advantage of
Microchip's full-speed USB device which significantly speeds up the programming process. The programmer can also programme
PICmicro microcontrollers that are already installed within an application using In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP).
The programmer has a 6-pin header to enable a connection to the target device and has a USB mini-B port for connection to the PC hosting the programming software. The device itself has three status LEDs to indicate Power (from USB), Target - to indicate that the programmer is powering the target device and Busy which gives an indication that the programmer is busy with a function. The kit contains everything required to quickly and easily begin programming.
- Intended for development programming
- Includes everything required to start programming
