I have used the Swash handwriting pens with children aged between 8 and 12 and they have been universally popular. The bottom 2cms are triangular shaped, but quite slim, they look like ordinary pens, unlike the triangular pens which are usually used in schools and sometimes have an “infant department image”. These pens help children to develop a neat tripod grip which aids flexibility. They seem to last a long time and don’t dry up too easily if the lid is left off. They come in blue and black. Children said: “They are comfortable to hold. They help me write well”. “They are easy to write with – they are easy to hold. I like the shape”. “I like them. They are comfy, easy to write with, smooth and in different colours! I prefer the black. I would probably lose the lid so it is good they don’t dry up easily. Because they are white they stand out and so they are easy to see”.
