The ACS723LLCTR-10AB-T is a high accuracy current sensor that has 2.4kV of galvanic isolation. Designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial and communications systems and packaged in a surface mounting SO-8 package that makes it easy to integrate. The device consists of a precise, low-offset, linear Hall sensor circuit that has a low resistance conduction path located towards the surface of the die. Applied current flowing through the conduction path generates a magnetic field that is sensed by the Hall sensor, which converts it into a proportional voltage. The low-offset, chopper-stabilised BiCMOS Hall IC features temperature compensation that gives extremely accurate performance over temperature. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, switched mode power supplies, and overcurrent protection.
