Lightweight, powerful and incredibly versatile, inverters offer many advantages over traditional transformer type welders. Inverters use state-of-the-art electronic components to produce fully portable power sources for arc welding. For example, Model No. MWE160C will produce up to 160Amps at 40% duty cycle; a conventional 160Amp welder would have a duty cycle of around 10%. All weighing under 5kg makes it ideal for the mobile technician or for applications where the power unit needs to be taken to the job. All supplied with earth clamp and electrode holder.

• Compact lightweight unit, weighing just 5kg, is suitable for arc welding using scratch-start method.
• Automatic Arc-Force circuitry makes the unit suitable for arc welding a wide variety of rods including rutile, basic and stainless from Ø1.6mm up to Ø5.0mm.
