Brilliant Chinese

For years, Yuasa Batteries have been seen as the 'Rolls-Royce' of batteries. I have specified and used a wide range of their products in various telecom, security and automotive applications.
However, in just 15 years, Chinese lead-acid battery specialist Leoch has grown from a startup to the largest battery manufacturer in China, with some 11000 employees and factories in Malaysia and Sri Lanka too, as well as distribution in Europe and the USA.
These are no back-street produced rubbish, but good quality products produced in modern factories to international standards.
The Leoch LP range offers a direct replacement for the Yuasa NP series, with identical physical dimensions and connector arrangements coupled with specifications that fully meet and in most aspects slightly exceed those of the Yuasa equivalent. They conform to all relevant European and USA electrical and safety requirements and have an expected life in float application of up to 6 years.
The items I bought arrived well charged but were given a full 'charge - discharge - recharge' test and all performed to the quoted specifications.
At around half the price of the Yuasa equivalent, they represent excellent value and I have no real doubt they will provide good service over the next few years.
