The Weller WHP 80 Pre-Heating Plate is ideal for raising the temperature of a selected area of a circuit board prior to soldering or rework. Preheating reduces the thermal gradient and subsequent risk of thermal shock to components. It speeds up the entire process as the component is already at a raised temperature and needs less heat from the soldering iron or hot air gun.
