Reviewed by: David Ford - Friday, April 13, 2012these crimped very simply using the crimping tool. I have used traditional splice connectors for many years and these splices will offer a better moisture resistant connection compared with no extra effort needed, making this an improved option.
It will be interesting to see whether Cool Seal provides adequate mechanical retension and current capability but I can imagine these will be no less effective than conventional butt splices.
Cool Seal is ideal when making connections in areas that may be subject to moisture – without having to use heat shrink tubing or heat guns in areas like loft spaces.
