This audio expansion module is a hifi quality stereo expansion board for the Raspberry Pi system that is ideal for the construction of high quality audio playback or recording projects. The board features three audio outputs, headphone, SPDIF (digital), and a 6 + 6W speaker output that can be used separately or in any combination for maximum flexibility. An onboard microphone is provided that is complemented by a connection for an external electret microphone so that audio monitoring and recording is ably supported.

Ideal for use with audio playback and recording applications, e.g. streaming speakers, baby monitor, security monitor, etc.
