RoHS 3 (July 2019)

The Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) directive (2011/65/EU) became UK law in January 2013.This directive has been updated and 4 new restricted substances have been added under directive 2015/863. It bans the sale in the European Union of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants, Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).

Products that comply with the terms of the RoHS directive are indicated on the Rapid website by a white tick in a green circle. Clicking this icon on the product information pages displays the compliance certificate, confirming that the product does not contain any of the restricted substances in the following permitted maximum concentrations:
