Q. With most white 12v led tape having 3 led’s making 9 volts and 3 volts allowed for the dropping resistor to make the constant current. How do these lights units dim the led’s Do they adjust the output voltage from 9volts (lights out) to 12 volts (full power) or do they switch the output from 12volts to 0 volts and alter the mark space ratio to give the illusion of dimming?

A. Hi Mr Futcher, thank you for your question. The dimming is usually achieved using pulse width modulation.
