The Volcraft DVM-330W DC Digital Voltmeter Module is a panel meter for installation in power supplies, lab equipment, control panels, etc. DIN dimension 72 x 36mm and 14mm digit height. Includes a LED backlight for dark conditions, with an additional current consumption of about 50mA. Virtually any measuring range may be achieved by simply adding resistors (voltage divider, shunt), example: Electrical connection via solder tabs.

    A. Hi Peter, thank you for your question. Our supplier advise that the frame is black and backlight is white.

    Q. If you want to use this as a voltmeter other than for 200mV then the zero ohm resistor (already soldered in place) at position Rb must be removed. There is no mention of this in the data sheets. I assume this will also be the case if you wish to convert it to an ammeter. Why have they placed this resistor there? It would have been simpler to leave it out and just solder a link in if needed.
    A. Hi Mike. Thank you for your question. The resistor at RB is set up for 200mV operation and a higher resistor would need to be used for running higher voltages. To set up this unit as an ammeter the link would be removed and changed dependent on the current required. A pin setting must be made to convert this over to an ammeter - see the data sheet.
