Reviewed by: David W Studeman - Monday, February 17, 2014I've been waiting for something that was a feasible option to replace a character VFD display that is also self illuminating as I think that anything needing a backlight is not the answer. These character OLED displays meet my expectations. Self illuminating, smooth characters, wide viewing angle, no need for a filter to get the right color (needed for VFD), no need for a backlight (LCD needs this), and unbelievable contrast since only the characters are ever lit, nothing to bleed through as is the case with LCD character displays.
As far as service, I received these displays in just a few days on this side of the planet.

Reviewed by: Rapid Customer - Wednesday, March 13, 2013This display is white-on-black, there's a very slight blueish tint. It comes in an industry-standard form factor and has a HD44870-compatible driver. Excellent readability in both day and night conditions and low power draw.
